HANTS CONSTABULARY

     NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN,—The SUPERINTENDENTS of the HANTS CONSTABULARY will attend, by virtue of their appointments Inspectors of Weights and Measures, at the undermentioned places within their respective Divisions, on the first market day after the 1st of May, for the purpose of examining, comparing, and stamping, if found correct, all such weights and Measures as shall be brought to them for that purpose, in the manner and form prescribed by the Act 5 and 6 William IV, cap. 63:—

    The Superintendents of the Constabulary will also attend for the same purpose at the Police Station House, Gosport, on Tuesday and Wednesday the 10th and 11th of May; at the Wheat Sheaf Inn, Titchfield, on Friday the 13th of May; at the Black Dog Inn, Emsworth, on Tuesday the 10th of May; at the Red House Inn, Whitchurch, on Friday the 13th of May; at the White Hart Inn, Overton, on Tuesday the 10th of May; at the Police Station at Lyndhurst on Wednesday the 11th of May, at the Police Station, Hythe, on Friday the 13st of May; and at the Police Station, Bitterne, near Southampton, on Friday, the 13th of May.

     The Superintendents will likewise attend at the Station Houses of their respective Divisions, at such other times not herein pointed out, at which parties shall specially apply, provided such application shall not interfere with their Constabulary duties.

     NOTE.—For public convenience, it is requested that persons residing in the Town of Gosport will bring their weights and measures to the Inspector on Tuesday the 10th of May, and those residing in other parts of the parish of Alverstoke on Wednesday the 11th of May.
