PETERSFIELD
Agent—MR. G. DUPLOCK

ACCIDENT.—NARROW ESCAPE—On Monday afternoon last, as Mr. Superintendent Stephenson was passing through Langrish in his cart, the horse took fright at the blacksmith’s forge and started off at full speed, kicking and plunging with great violence. After proceeding for about 200 yards in this manner the wheel caught a bank at the side of the road, by which the cart was overturned, Mr. Stephenson being underneath. Fortunately he was not seriously hurt, but sustained a violent shaking, with a rather severe cut on the hand. The cart was completely smashed.
