THE REPRESENTATION OF HAMPSHIRE.—Prior to the passing of the Reform Bill, Hampshire had 19 members, 10 of whom were Liberals, and nine Conservatives. The borough of Newport, Lymington, and Andover have now been deprived of one member each, and the party gains and losses on the elections have so balanced each other, that we have for this county eight Liberal and eight Conservative members. Southampton send two Conservatives, North Hants, two Conservatives, South Hants, one Conservative and one Liberal, Winchester, one Conservative and one Liberal, and Portsmouth one Conservative and one Liberal. The Isle of Wight, Andover, Petersfield, and Christchurch, each send a Liberal, and Lymington a Conservative.
