THE STORMY WEATHER.

For those who have not yet gathered in the harvest—and we believe there are some few— the weather has been extremely unfavorable during the past few days. Violent storms, accompanied by thunder and lightning, have visited the South of England. We hear of no damage being caused by the storm in our neighbourhood, beyond that resulting from an extraordinary whirlwind at Petersfield, which is graphically described by our excellent correspondent in that town; and some little mischief is reported in London. The weather still looks unsettled, and those who have delayed the ingathering of the corn will have cause for regret. Our agricultural correspondents still speak in the most encouraging tones of the prospects of the yield.
