TREAT TO WORKMEN.—On Thursday last Messrs. J. and E. Simmons, upholstered, of Queen-street, Portsea, gave the whole of the workmen employed by them, together with their wives, their annual treat. The spot selected on this occasion was Gravel Hill, situate between Horndean and Petersfield. After spending a highly delightful day, the whole party returned home in high spirits. Such an act of liberality on the part of Messrs. Simmons cannot be too generally followed.
