     EASTER VESTRY.—A Vestry was held at the Church on Friday last, at which the Rev. J. M. Sumner (rector) presided. The churchwardens’ accounts were examined and passed. Mr. Dusautoy was re-elected churchwarden for Petersfield, and Mr. G. W. Newman was appointed for Sheet; a church-rate of 2d. in the pound was made. Mr. Duplock, who, with Mr. Nichols, had been appointed to audit the accounts of the Burial Board, reported that they had found them quite correct. Mr. Elkington, Mr. Newman, and Mr. Etherington were chosen members of the Burial Board (the two former by re-election.) ‟Trusty-field” was let to the Rev. H. Haigh, for the purpose of being sub-let in garden allotments to the poor, and ‟Church Close” was let to Mr. Small. Chas. Knight was re-appointed sexton, and Thomas Louch as pew-opener.
