PETERSFIELD.

OVERSEERS, &c.—At a Vestry held on Friday, (yesterday) pursuant to notices, for the purpose of nominating persons to fill the offices of overseers, assessors, collectors, and to elect a surveyor of highways for the ensuing year; Mr. Churchwarden Todman in the chair—the following names were returned for the respective offices, viz.:— Messrs. Henry Blackmore, Thomas Summers, Walter Payne, and Thomas Sturt, as overseers; Messrs. Thomas Barnes, and Charles Chapman, as assessors ; and Messrs. Thomas Gammon and Benjamin Charge, as collectors. Mr. Owen Outridge was unanimously re-elected surveyor of highways.
