WEST SUSSEX AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION.

     On Wednesday the Christmas show of Fat Stock was held at Chichester, the competition was very limited, and the premiums awarded therefore partial, yet several of the animals shewn were uncommonly fine, particularly a fat heifer shown by Mr J Jupp, of Pulborough, which carried off the prize in Class 5.

     To the feeder of the best fat Ox or Steer—A premium of 10l.
        In this class there were six competitors, and the premium was adjudged to Mr. John Ring, of Petersfield.—This gentleman was the successful candidate last year also, and the Chairman, in awarding the prize, at the same time that he hoped he would attend and be successful next year, said, he had also feeling enough for the county of Sussex to wish one of their own men might carry off the prize and beat him.
