WEST SUSSEX EPIPHANY SESSIONS.
These Quarter Sessions for the Western division of this county, were held at Petworth on Thursday and Friday last. J. M. Cobbett, Esq., M.P., in the chair. The number of prisoners was very light, there being but eight for trial.
Edward Jackson, 18, dealer, was charged with uttering a counterfeit shilling at Petersfield, on the 8th of December, 1864; and also uttering a counterfeit florin at Harting, on the 9th December, 1864; well knowing the same to be counterfeit. Sentenced to six months’ imprisonment with hard labour.
