WHITSUN FESTIVITIES.—On Monday the members of the Petersfield Friendly Society held their anniversary at Host Moore’s, the Bell Inn, being their 31st since the establishment; and on Tuesday the members of the Union Benevolent Society held their 29th anniversary at Host Luff’s, the Golden Horse Inn. Good and substantial dinners were provided, and the annual meetings for enjoyment passed away with the usual parading through the town to the effective strains of the Eastmeon band upon both occasions.
