SUDDEN DEATH.—William Silk, a labouring man, in the parish of Eastmeon, died somewhat suddenly a few days since. An inquest was held on the body, before the coroner, E. Hoskins, Esq., and a verdict returned of ‟Died from starvation.” It appeared that deceased was of a miserly turn, and for some time past had stinted himself of necessary food for the sake of saving money. He was about 40 years of age, and although receiving only 9s. or 10s. a week had contrived to save a very considerable sum (it is said nearly 200l.) He has left an aged mother and several brothers and sisters.
