PETERSFIELD.

WORKING MEN’S READING ROOM.—On Tuesday evening the members of the Working Men’s Reading Room and their friends were entertained at the Town Hall by a series of splendid dissolving views, on various subjects, exhibited by Mr. Wattridge, of Southampton, and the excellent practical remarks made by him on the ‟Pilgrim’s Progress,” and Cruickshank’s ‟Bottle,” will, it is hoped, long be remembered and acted on. The hall was crowded, and the entertainment gave general satisfaction. A lecture by Mr. F. Beck, of Portsmouth, on ‟Social Problems and their Solution,” is announced for Friday evening (tomorrow).
