     YOUNG MEN’S IMPROVEMENT SOCIETY.—PENNY READING.—Another of a series of these interesting meetings came off on Tuesday last, in the National School room. Mr. Atkinson took the chair, when the following programme was gone through with great success.

There was a large attendance though not so many as on former occasions, owing no doubt to the inclemency of the evening. We are glad to learn that it is the intention of the committee to provide a more frequent repetition than they have hitherto done of these truly pleasant evenings.
