PETERSFIELD.

YOUNG MEN’S IMPROVEMENT SOCIETY.—On Thursday last. Mr. Meeres in the chair, an essay was read by Mr. Duplock on the questions, “What to read and how to read.” The essay was suggestive of many practical lessons, and well worthy of the high estimation in which it was held by those who heard it. Remarks were made by other members, after which it was announced that the next meeting would be opened by Mr. Forder, on ‟The Wars of the Roses.”
