PETERSFIELD—In the course of Monday night last the house of Mr. J. Harrison, of the Causeway Farm, near this town, was broken into, and four hams, several pairs of shoes, a watch, writing desk, and other articles were stolen. Some of the property was found the next morning concealed in Nursted Copse. A man and woman (tramps) were apprehended, and a portion of the property being found on them, they were committed for trial.

     PETERSFIELD. Housebreaking. —On Monday night the house of Mr. Harrison, Causeway Farm, in the parish of Buriton was broken into, and four hams, six silver spoons, a silver watch, and a quantity of wearing apparel were stolen. The hams and some of the wearing apparel were found concealed in Nursted coppice adjoining the farm. The spoons and watch have not yet been discovered. A man and woman were taken into custody on the following day by the superintendent of police, and were heard this day before the magistrates.
